Kyrwood Composites a été très actif dans la construction de bateaux en Australie. Bateaux en polyester partiellement carénés (balsa). Les Kyrwoods ont remporté plusieurs fois championnats du monde de cinquo.
Un modèle exotique avec renfort en fibre de carbone était disponible. Kyrwood a cessé sa production peu après le championnat du monde de Townsville en 1996 et l'outillage a finalement été vendu à en Allemagne.
