A-Cat Platform for sale:
The ‘AC Nano’ A-Cat offers an ingenious combination of speed and versatility. The platform was built by Thilo Keller, an experienced A-Cat boat designer. Thilo Keller is also known for his expertise in series construction: he created the well-known classic ‘Arrow’ A-Cat. The AC Nano was his last A-Cat. The catamaran is regatta-proven (Thilo Keller himself has used it in regattas). It was not sailed from 2017 to 2023 and was stored dry.
Special features:
-
Light and handy: the ‘AC Nano’ is easy to handle and allows you to get into the water quickly and back on land just as quickly.
-
The foils of the ‘AC Nano’ have a unique canting mechanism, which makes it possible to generate lift with the leeward centreboard and lateral stability with the windward centreboard when foiling. This mechanism can also be trimmed so that the catamaran does not foil, which enables participation in regattas in the classic segment.
-
Rigid trampoline
-
Regatta suitability: the ‘AC Nano’ is also suitable for sailors with regatta ambitions, especially thanks to its ingenious design. For me, the focus was on classic, but the Nano can also foil (measuring letter available for this). In order to make it class-compliant for the classic discipline, a - minimal - adjustment to one of the two foil sets is required (I will be happy to explain).
-
The hulls of the ‘AC Nano’ are not finish painted, which is not necessary with carbon fibre (and reduces weight). However, the Cat can of course be painted to taste.
