The Imoca boats are ocean racing boats that comply with the class rules of the Imoca (international monohull open class association). They are "the boats of the Vendée Globe", but Imoca boats take part in many other solo and crewed races: Route du Rhum, Transat Jacques Vabre. The last of these thoroughbreds are equipped with foils with which they reach speeds close to 35 knots.
