On paper, it is an atypical dinghy: the Wizz, released in 1981, is designed by Jean-Marie Finot. A renowned architect but better known for his ocean racing boats than for dinghies like the Wizz.
4.40m long, an unusual rigging with a Laser-style sheath sail and a windsurfing-style boom: the Wizz is clearly an astonishing boat. She wanted to offer a simpler and more sensational practice than the 470 which was living its hour of glory at the time. The Wizz is known for some reliability problems, especially with the appendages. If you salvage an old and poorly maintained boat, you may have to renovate the rudder and daggerboard.
